9Ball - How to Play

Goal

Play against the CPU and pocket the 9-ball legally to win the rack.

Basic Rules (9-Ball)

• You must hit the lowest-numbered object ball first on every shot.
• After contact, at least one ball must touch a rail or be pocketed.
• If the cue ball is pocketed (scratch), it is a foul.
• Pocketing the 9-ball on a legal shot wins immediately.
• If 9-ball is pocketed on a foul shot, it is spotted back on the table.
• On a foul, the opponent gets ball in hand.

Controls

• If you have ball in hand, place the cue ball with the mouse first.
• Move the mouse and click to lock shot direction.
• After direction is locked, move the mouse to push/pull the cue and set shot power.
• Click to shoot.
• New Rack: Reset and start a new game.

CPU Difficulty

Difficulty has 5 levels. Higher levels make CPU aim more accurately and choose better shots.

Highscore

Wins and best player streak are automatically saved in browser localStorage.
